Voices of Jericho (2007)

Our Voices of Jericho films share the stories of people with serious mental illness who are involved in the criminal justice system. With support from a jail-diversion program run by the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office (called “The Jericho Project”), they are able to successfully navigate release and recovery in the community.

Our first film in this series, Voices of Jericho: Stories of Jail Diversion, received the "Grand Jury Award" at Southern Shorts Film Festival 2008 and "Best Documentary" at Indie Memphis Film Festival 2007.

Voices of Jericho: Road to Recovery, a follow-up short film (2011), chronicles the story of a young man named Rico Ross.
