At the Indie Memphis Film Festival in November, True Story Pictures won the hometowner best feature award for THE KEEPERS and a special jury award for our short film, VIOLA: A MOTHER'S STORY OF JUVENILE JUSTICE. Congrats to directors Sara Kaye Larson, Joann Self Selvidge, and Sarah Fleming!

Our feature, The Keepers, is a portrait of the personalities and work of zookeepers shot with unprecedented behind-the-scenes access at the Memphis Zoo. It's a bittersweet, nonjudgmental look at what it means to find a place for yourself, working a job that you love. Read more about THE KEEPERS and its directors in this recent article.

True Story Pictures believes in the power of personal stories. We are a Memphis-based documentary production company that explores, captures, and shares unique perspectives with the world.
